 What else can Duolingo offer? There is also a sense of community that can be derived from using Duolingo.  Users can compete with each other (friends, classmates and so on) and even share achievements;  thus heightening the motivation to learn the language.

 As an educator's tool, Academic Software can help to streamline academic workflows, encourage collaboration, improve productivity and make learning and research easier.  With software like Duolingo, I can see greater interaction between members of the same Foreign language Department especially where students are learning more than one foreign language.  Teachers can collaborate in tracking students' strengths and weaknesses in both languages.

 What exactly is Academic Software? Simply put, it is any program, application or tool designed specifically for the support and enhancement of different aspects of academic work and research, across different areas of study.   Academic software should be tailored to meet the needs of students, educators, researchers and other professionals within academia.  It should also serve a number of purposes: research and analysis, writing and documentation, presentation and visualization to name a few....  They can be open-source tools (free) or proprietary software (with licenses or subscriptions). It just depends on the needs, preferences  and financial constraints of the academic institution or the individual user. So,..... ¡Vámonos!  Allons-y!
